Member Unveils MKO Leaders’ Full Subordination to Saddam

Leaders of the anti-Iran terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO also known as the MEK, PMOI and NCR) acted in full subordination to Iraq’s security services during the era of former Member Unveils MKO Leaders' Full Subordination to Saddamdictator Saddam Hussein, a defected member of the cult-like group disclosed on Saturday.

Ghorbanabli Hosseinnejad, a highly trusted veteran member of the MKO and the group’s special interpreter in talks with Iraqi government officials during Saddam’s era, unveiled that MKO ringleader Massoud Rajavi received direct orders from the chiefs of Saddam’s security services, the Persian-language Nedaye Haghigat (the Voice of Truth) website said in a report today.

"The Istekhbarat (security) service of Iraq always considered the MKO as one of its subordinate units and a subdivision of Istekhbarat and was present in all high-level meetings of the MKO as the dominating side," Hosseinnejad said.

Despite the propaganda campaign by MKO ringleaders about the importance of the terrorist cult, Rajavi was unable to do a move before it was Okayed by Saddam’s security services, he reiterated.

The MKO, whose main stronghold is still in Iraq, is blacklisted by much of the international community, including the United States.

The group started assassination of the citizens and officials after the revolution in a bid to take control of the newly established Islamic Republic. It killed several of Iran’s new leaders in the early years after the revolution, including the then President, Mohammad Ali Rajayee, Prime Minister, Mohammad Javad Bahonar and the Judiciary Chief, Mohammad Hossein Beheshti who were killed in bomb attacks by MKO members in 1981.

The group fled to Iraq in 1986, where it was protected by Saddam Hussein and where it helped the Iraqi dictator suppress Shiite and Kurd uprisings in the country.

The terrorist group joined Saddam’s army during the Iraqi imposed war on Iran (1980-1988) and helped Saddam and killed thousands of Iranian civilians and soldiers during the US-backed Iraqi imposed war on Iran.

Defection from MKO Growing

A growing number of Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) members are leaving the terrorist group as MKO ringleaders are busy with a compulsory relocation from the Northern Diyala Defection from MKO Growingprovince to a Baghdad camp where they are sheltered transiently before being expelled from Iraq, reports said on Tuesday.

A report by the Persian-language Neday-e Haqiqat (the Voice of Truth) website said that another MKO member took the opportunity provided by the group’s relocation from Camp Ashraf in Northern Iraq to Camp Liberty and escaped on Monday.

Alireza Khamoushi, the ninth MKO member to flee the group in just the last one month, had been imprisoned and tortured before fleeing the camp.

The defected members describe improper psychological conditions and strict cult rules and restrictions as their main reason for fleeing the terrorist group.

Some defected members of the group had earlier unveiled that MKO ringleaders are using every means within their reach, including execution, to prevent the members’ defection from the group.

The defected members revealed that the main ringleader of the group, Maryam Rajavi, issues the execution orders personally and condemns to death all the dissidents who refrain from obeying her orders and all those who plan to defect from the MKO.

According to the report, the MKO ringleaders have prevented the members of the group from meeting their relatives for the last two years in a bid to prevent their defection and escape from the camp.

Also in March 2011, another defected member of the MKO revealed that the female members of the group have been living under captivity for more than 25 years and are not even allowed to appear in public places alone.

"It can be firmly said that 95% of the women in Ashraf Camp (the terrorist group’s resort in Iraq) have not even been allowed to step in Iraq’s public and recreational places alone all throughout the last 25 years," the defected member said.

The former member of the MKO also revealed that nearly 70% of the female members of the terrorist group are single and have not been allowed to marry anyone in or outside the group.

And only a total 10% of the married members have been allowed to have children, he added.

Many of the MKO members abandoned the terrorist organization while most of those still remaining in the camp are said to be willing to quit but are under pressure and torture not to do so.

A May 2005 Human Rights Watch report accused the MKO of running prison camps in Iraq and committing human rights violations.

According to the Human Rights Watch report, the outlawed group puts defectors under torture and jail terms.

Numerous articles and letters posted on the Internet by family members of MKO recruits confirm reports of the horrific abuse that the group inflicts on its own members and the alluring recruitment methods it uses.

The most shocking of such stories includes accounts given by former British MKO member Ann Singleton and Mustafa Mohammadi – the father of an Iranian-Canadian girl who was drawn into the group during an MKO recruitment campaign in Canada.

Mohammadi recounts his desperate efforts to contact his daughter, who disappeared several years ago – a result of what the MKO called a ‘two-month tour’ of Camp Ashraf for teenagers.

He also explains how the group forces the families of its recruits to take part in pro-MKO demonstrations in Western countries by threatening to kill their loved ones.

Lacking a foothold in Iran, the terrorist group recruits ill-informed teens from Iranian immigrant communities in Western states and blocks their departure afterwards.

The MKO, whose main stronghold is in Iraq, is blacklisted by much of the international community, including the United States.

Before an overture by the EU, the MKO was on the European Union’s list of terrorist organizations subject to an EU-wide assets freeze. Yet, the MKO puppet leader, Maryam Rajavi, who has residency in France, regularly visited Brussels and despite the ban enjoyed full freedom in Europe.

Official blasts west’s double-standard attitude towards terrorism

A senior Iranian foreign ministry official condemned the western countries for sheltering members of different terrorist groups, including the anti-Iran terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO), and deplored the West’s double-standard attitude towards terrorism.

"We believe that despite the claims that others (Western countries) make about fighting terrorism, they provide the most support for terrorist groups," Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast said.

"In Europe the MKO has already been removed from the list of terrorist organizations and they are completely safe to continue their activities," he added.

When asked about reports that the US State Department may remove the MKO from its list of foreign terrorist organizations, Mehman-Parast said such moves could reveal the nature of Western countries.

The MKO has been in Iraq’s Diyala province since the 1980s.

Iraqi security forces took control of the training base of the MKO at Camp Ashraf – about 60km (37 miles) north of Baghdad – in 2009 and detained dozens of the members of the terrorist group.

The Iraqi authority also changed the name of the military center from Camp Ashraf to the Camp of New Iraq.

Many of the MKO members abandoned the terrorist organization while most of those still remaining in the camp are said to be willing to quit but are under pressure and torture not to do so.

Transferring MKO to neighboring states unacceptable to Iran

Iran on Tuesday warned that it will show strong reaction to a transfer of the terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) members from Iraq to other neighboring countries, Azerbaijan in Transferring MKO to neighboring states unacceptable to Iranparticular.

Authentic reports from sources privy to the MKO disclosed that the US administration is consulting with five of Iran’s neighboring states to persuade them into sheltering the MKO terrorists.

After nearly three decades, Iraq is now expelling the MKO from its soil, while no world country has accepted to shelter the terrorist group.

The US allies in the Middle-East, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Azerbaijan, Qatar and Pakistan, are likely to be the destination of the MKO terrorists, the sources added.

The sources also pointed out that Zionist lobbies are pressuring the US and Baku officials to station MKO terrorists in bases and desolated air fields, and added that the issue was a topic of recent discussions between Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman and Azeri officials.

Rights Group: No Country Ready to Shelter MKO Terrorists

No country in the world is ready to shelter members of the anti-Iran terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO), an Iranian rights group announced on Tuesday.

"Monafeqin (the Hypocrites, MKO members as they are called in Iran) have announced that they will accept leaving Iraq, but no country accepts to shelter them because they have sought group asylum which is outside the boundaries of the laws of all countries and international bodies," Secretary-General of Iran’s Habilian Association – a human rights group formed by the families of 17,000 terror victims in Iran – Seyed Mohammad Javad Hasheminejad told FNA.

He said that Camp Liberty [TTL]- where MKO members have been transiently sheltering after they were expelled from their main training center, Camp Ashraf, in Northern Iraq – operates under international standards for asylum-seekers and those who reside in this camp mean that they are seeking asylum.

So they should end their membership in the group because international laws require members of terrorist groups to defect as a precondition for asylum-seeking, he added.

The group fled to Iraq in 1986, where it was protected by Saddam Hussein and where it helped the Iraqi dictator suppress Shiite and Kurd uprisings in the country.

The terrorist group joined Saddam’s army during the Iraqi imposed war on Iran (1980-1988) and helped Saddam and killed thousands of Iranian civilians and soldiers during the US-backed Iraqi imposed war on Iran.

Since the 2003 US invasion of Iraq, the group, which now adheres to a pro-free-market philosophy, has been strongly backed by neo-conservatives in the United States, who also argue for the MKO to be taken off the US terror list.

The MKO has been in Iraq’s Diyala province since the 1980s.

Iraqi security forces took control of the training base of the MKO at Camp Ashraf – about 60km (37 miles) north of Baghdad – in 2009 and detained dozens of the members of the terrorist group.

The Iraqi authority also changed the name of the military center from Camp Ashraf to the Camp of New Iraq.

Speaker lambasts UNSC silence on assassination of Iranian scientists

Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani lashed out at the UN Security Council for keeping mum about the assassination of Iranian scientists by the Zionist regime of Israel.

"The Security Council which is so watchful (of world events) didn’t even frown at the Zionist regime (for the assassination of the Iranian scientists)," Larijani said in Tehran on Monday, blasting the silence shown by the international bodies on Tel Aviv’s terror attacks against the lives of Iranian nationals and elites and implying that the world body is under the influence of the Zionist regime of Israel.

He reminded that the Iranian scientists were assassinated in blatant violation of all international laws, and said the measure is an inhumane and inhuman act carried out merely for the sake of grudge.

Meantime, he played down the boastful remarks uttered by Israeli officials about the assassination of Iranian scientists to buy themselves credit, saying that killing a person is not so much complicated a task and only proves a regime’s lack of moral values.

In the fifth attack of its kind in two years, Israeli agents assassinated a 32-year-old Iranian scientist, Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, and his driver on January 11, 2012.

The blast took place on the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Iranian university professor and nuclear scientist, Massoud Ali Mohammadi, who was also assassinated in a terrorist bomb attack in Tehran in January 2010.

The assassination method used in the bombing was similar to the 2010 terrorist bomb attacks against the then university professor, Fereidoun Abbassi Davani – who is now the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization – and his colleague Majid Shahriari. While Abbasi Davani survived the attack, Shahriari was martyred.

Another Iranian scientist, Dariush Rezaeinejad, was also assassinated through the same method on 23 July 2011.

Reports said that the terrorist attacks on Iran’s scientists were joint operations by Israeli spy agents and the anti-Iran terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO).

The NBC News said in a report in February that Mossad has financed and trained the MKO to assassinate Iranian nuclear scientists.

Two senior US officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed to the NBC News that the MKO was to blame for the series of assassinations against Iranian nuclear scientists.

"All your inclinations are correct," said one of the officials while speaking about the group’s role in the assassinations and Tel Aviv’s support for the group.

The US officials said the US government was aware of the assassination campaign.

The American Free Press website reported that western collusion to train terrorists to target Iranian scientists and officials, that Britain has been part of covert operations in the Middle East to train MKO terrorists.

"MKO fighters have also been trained at secret Middle-East sites by special forces teams from Britain, the US and Israel and have been supplied at US taxpayer expense with state-of-the-art weaponry and surveillance gear. In particular, the terror cells planning the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists were taught to use small explosive packages normally reserved for American and Israeli special forces," the report said.

Earlier in March, a number of former US officials in a conference in Paris called on Washington to use the MKO to attack the Islamic Republic.

In a conference in Paris, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani suggested that the United States should use the MKO to militarily attack Iran’s nuclear program.

The MKO, whose main stronghold is in Iraq, is blacklisted by much of the international community, including the United States.

Before an overture by the EU, the MKO was on the European Union’s list of terrorist organizations subject to an EU-wide assets freeze. Yet, the MKO puppet leader, Maryam Rajavi, who has residency in France, regularly visited Brussels and despite the ban enjoyed full freedom in Europe.

The MKO is behind a slew of assassinations and bombings inside Iran, a number of EU parliamentarians said in a recent letter in which they slammed a British court decision to remove the MKO from the British terror list. The EU officials also added that the group has no public support within Iran because of their role in helping Saddam Hussein in the Iraqi imposed war on Iran (1980-1988).

Many of the MKO members abandoned the terrorist organization while most of those still remaining in the camp are said to be willing to quit but are under pressure and torture not to do so.

A May 2005 Human Rights Watch report accused the MKO of running prison camps in Iraq and committing human rights violations.

According to the Human Rights Watch report, the outlawed group puts defectors under torture and jail terms.

The group, founded in the 1960s, blended elements of Islamism and Stalinism and participated in the overthrow of the US-backed Shah of Iran in 1979. Ahead of the revolution, the MKO conducted attacks and assassinations against both Iranian and Western targets.

Leaders of the group have been fighting to shed its terrorist tag after a series of bloody anti-Western attacks in the 1970s, and nearly 30 years of violent struggle against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In recent years, high-ranking MKO members have been lobbying governments around the world in the hope of acknowledgement as a legitimate opposition group.

The UK initiative, however, prompted the European Union to establish relations with the exiled organization now based in Paris. The European Court of First Instance threw its weight behind the MKO in December and annulled its previous decision to freeze its funds.
