Mr. Edi Rama, Honorable Prime Minister of Albania
Hello: I would like to inform you that my brother Ali Sadeghi is currently kept hostage in your country, under the control and brainwashing of Maryam Rajavi, in the Manza village camp.
As a family and as a human being, we have the right to meet our brother.
We ask you to help us in this humanitarian act.
Sincerely,
Ali Sadeghi’s family from Zanjan Province, Iran

Endri Fuga is the Albanian Prime Minister’s Director of Communications and the person who runs the current government’s media and public affairs strategy.
Ebrahim Khodabandeh the CEO of the Nejat Society wrote him a report on the petition “Urging Albanian government to allow the families to contact their loved ones in the MEK camp”, in support of the families’ rights to have contact with their loved ones in the concentration camp of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK) in Albania.
The text of the letter is as follows:
Mr. Endri Fuga, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Director of Communications for the government of the Republic of Albania
Dear Sir,
GreetingsAs you may already know, an ongoing petition titled “Urging the Albanian government to allow the families to contact their loved ones in the MEK camp” has been signed inside and outside Iran to support the families’ right to have contact with their loved ones in the concentration camp of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK) in Albania.
The petition gained 10,000 signatures and was shared 1,500 times after two weeks, news of which was published in the media inside and outside Albania. This of course made the MEK leaders react fiercely, which undoubtedly shows how frightened they are of the presence of the families in Albania.
The MEK is a destructive mind control cult which with Massoud Rajavi, the cult leader, moved to Iraq from Paris in 1986 in cooperation with Iran’s enemy Saddam Hussein and with his help prepared an army to participate in the war against Iran. When the Iraqi dictator was toppled in 2003 the situation of the MEK dramatically changed.
The MEK were disarmed by the US forces, Massoud Rajavi went into hiding and his wife Maryam moved back to Paris. The members were eventually deported to Albania since the Iraqi government found them a national security threat. They were relocated to a remote isolated camp in Albania which is completely ruled by the cult leaders and your Albanian authorities have no control over it.
This is a human rights issue. Elderly mothers and fathers as well as other family members wish to have contact with their loved ones after decades. This is not too much to ask – except for cults which indoctrinate their members and fear family attachments and emotions more than anything.
I would like to request that you respond to the petition and explain to the families how this humanitarian problem can be tackled, and ask that you offer a solution for it. I am anxiously waiting to hear from you.
I wish you and your country every success, particularly your government’s efforts to become a member state of the European Union.
Regards,
Ebrahim Khodabandeh

The families’ petition addressed to the Albanian government has been shared over 1000 times.
The message of the families to the Albanian Prime Minister: Our children are captives in the hands of terrorists in your country.
Some Tehran families of the members trapped inside Rajavi’s terrorist cult in Albania, in a message addressed to the Prime Minister of that country, demanded a response to more than 8000 signatures to the petition
“urging the Albanian government to allow the families to contact their loved ones in the MEK camp”.
The text of the message is as follows:
Mr. Edi Rama
Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania
As you are aware, a petition addressed to your government and the ministry of foreign affairs is ongoing. After 12 days this petition has already gained more than 8000 signatures from all over the world and has been shared over 1000 times.
The Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK, Rajavi cult) is an invitee in your country and under your government’s protection. But our innocent children are captives inside this terrorist cult and because of your government’s support, they have no access to the outside world particularly their family and friends.
We the suffering families would like to ask for how long you wish to prolong this situation? For how long do you wish to deprive elderly mothers and fathers from contacting their children? For how long do you wish to preserve intact this security threat for your country as well as Europe against the best interests of your people? For how long do you wish to have no control over the MEK camp and have no information about what is going on inside there? Are you aware about the extent of the spread of Covid-19 disease inside the camp which is a potential threat for your people? For whose interests should our children be captives in the hand of those terrorists?
The petition will be ongoing until we receive a response from you. If you have authority over your country’s executive affairs, it’s not a bad idea for you to go to the link below and react to the demands of the families.
We are anxiously waiting for you response
Some Tehran families
A petition was launched by Nejat Society of Iran on behalf of the suffering families of Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK, Rajavi cult) members urging the Albanian government to allow these families to contact their loved ones trapped in the MEK camp. Link below:
This petition concludes:
“We urge the Albanian government and the ministry of foreign affairs to issue visas to the suffering families on humanitarian grounds to allow them to travel to Albania and help them visit their loved ones in the MEK camp.”
Signatures on the petition have well exceeded 1500 after just 9 days and are rapidly increasing. The daily list of signatories and their locations is forwarded to the Albanian authorities.
This has, of course, alarmed the MEK since like all other destructive mind control cults, the leaders are scared to death of the families of the cult’s members. They know that familial emotions will counter their brainwashing practices on the members.
A few days after the campaign was launched, the MEK fearfully reacted on April 23, 2020 in its website ‘Iran Probe’ with a lengthy article titled: “Iranian regime is campaigning for Albanian entry visas for its terrorists”.
The article is a stream of fabricated lies trying to persuade the Albanians not to issue visas for the families.
This shows how much the presence of the families is a nightmare for Massoud and Maryam Rajavi, the cult leaders.
MEK terrorist cult was expelled from Iraq and admitted into their country by the Albanian government in 2016 and located in a remote, isolated camp. Security experts have always considered this a security threat for Albania as well as for Europe. The MEK presence has also been regarded a negative point for Albania as it tries to become a member of the EU.
The MEK camp, which holds the terrorists imported from Iraq, is entirely and secretly run by the cult’s leaders. Albanian officials have no jurisdiction over it. The inhabitants have no access to, or contact with, the outside world, particularly with their friends and families.
The truth is that the genuine terrorists are already welcomed and living in Albania and they do not need visas.
Those who are denied entry and deprived of contacting their loved ones are old mothers and fathers who have not seen or had any contact with their children for decades.
The Albanian government should pay attention to the just request of the families and enable them to contact their loved ones.
As you are aware, on the initiative of the Nejat Society on behalf of the grieving and suffering families of the members affected by the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK), a petition was posted on the prominent American site:
https://www.change.org/
The petition, which began five days ago, is addressed to the Albanian government, which has been asked to provide conditions for families to communicate with their loved ones in the MEK camp:
https://www.nejatngo.org/en/posts/10595
Families in all provinces of the country as well as abroad have been active in this regard and joined the campaign, which at the end of the fifth day registered more than 500 signatures on the petition.
The list of signatures was sent along with the text of the petition to various organs of the Albanian government and the United Nations, as well as to various European institutions.
Signatures continue to be collected via the following link:
Recipients: Albanian government, UNHCR, European Parliament, Council of the European Union, European Commission
A 2000 member Iranian militant opposition group called the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK, aka MKO, NLA, PMOI, and NCR) is based in a remote, isolated camp in Albania. Over a thousand estranged families of some of these MEK members are actively seeking contact with their loved ones.
For over three decades, the leaders of the MEK have refused to allow the families of these members to have any sort of contact with their loved ones in the MEK camps (in Iraq and in Albania).
The Albanian government has allowed the MEK camp to be completely controlled by the leaders of the organization. This situation prevents the families from contacting their next of kin. Some families have had no news of their children for decades. The Albanian ministry of foreign affairs does not issue visas for Iranians (including Iranian families wishing to visit their relatives) to travel to Albania.
We urge the Albanian government and the ministry of foreign affairs to issue visas to the suffering families on humanitarian grounds to allow them to travel to Albania and help them visit their loved ones in the MEK camp.
Please sign the petition at below link, and ask your friends and colleagues to sign the petition of the families too.
Many thanks

A letter written by a group of Tehrani families of the MEK members in Albania addressed to the representative of WHO in Albania, shows concern about the health of the loved ones in the MEK camp.
The text of the letter is as follows:
Dr. Raúl González Montero
WHO Representative
Tirana, Albania
Dear Sir,
With regards, we address you on behalf of hundreds of suffering families of members of the Iranian Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK, MKO, better known as the Rajavi cult) residing in a remote isolated camp in Albania, about their severe health situation considering the COVID-19 pandemic.
You are probably aware that a South Korean cult has been responsible for the rapid spread of Coronavirus in the country. The Shincheonji Church of Jesus is held accountable for the rapid spread of COVID-19 among the members and for the decision to send thousands of adherents out into public which contributed to the rapid spread of the virus.
The leaders of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus frequently visited China and the members subsequently socialized with the Korean community without revealing the fact that many of their members are fatally ill.
In a similar way, leading members of the MEK which is based in Albania, make frequent visits to Italy, which has the largest cluster of infections after China. Although the members live in a secretive closed camp named Camp Ashraf 3, some socialize with the Albanian community around them while shopping or visiting officials. The cult’s leaders occupy an entire floor of the International hotel in the middle of the capital Tirana.
There are now rumors from inside the cult’s closed camp in Manez that some members have vanished, and some are showing signs of flu-like viral sickness. The MEK will certainly not reveal any illnesses inside the cult. They have always kept the cause of deaths inside their camp secret.
The problems surrounding the South Korean cult exist in just the same way with MEK. Unaccountable leadership, isolated and secretive membership. The members are mostly elderly, and many are sick and weak and therefore vulnerable to death following infection. The MEK have no testing kits or medical capability to deal with an outbreak. It is uncertain whether they would even accept any help offered.
The MEK with this secrecy is now considered as a health and hygiene threat for Europe in general and for Albania in particular. Unlike the South Korean cult, the MEK consists fewer than 2,000 members. Most of these are contained in a closed camp to which Albanian authorities have no access. The authorities must hold the MEK leaders accountable. Leader Maryam Rajavi must allow full access and investigation into what is happening inside Camp Ashraf 3 and submit the members to Coronavirus testing.
The WHO has a vital role to play in this situation.
With respect,
A group of Tehrani families of MEK members in Albania
Dear Mr. Peter Maurer,
Respectfully, we _signatories below this letter_ as families of members of Mojahedeen Khalq Organization (known as MKO/ MEK or PMOI) from Ardabil province of Iran, find it necessary to inform you about our dears (MKO members) situation, prosecution and unjustifiable acts against members by leaders, and violation of most substantial human rights of members, moreover, the massive difficulties and distresses for expectant families.
As you know, Mojahdeen Khalq Organization ,as a terrorist group on the basis of violent activities and killing of own opponents, had committed a lot of crimes against its own homeland and its own countrymen in alliance with Saddam Hussein during Iran-Iraq war.
Furthermore, this group committed a series of inhumane actions ranging from torture, prosecution, damages and suffering to threaten Iranian combatants with specific aims of recruiting or so on. there’s various evidences confirming it.
ICRC, as an organization responsible and guardian of international humanitarian law during conflicts, accomplished most valuable activities protecting Iranian captives, the numerous documents and reports indicates inhuman behaviors by MKO against captives during 8 years war specially in Iraq’s prisons. these reports additionally suggests wide humanitarian actions by ICRC for improving situation of captives too.
In recent years, members of MKO moved to Albania after long settlement in Iraq (Ashraf camp) according to multilateral agreement under monitoring of The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. UNHCR)
So sadly we notice you during these years specially after ending Iran-Iraq war and following exchange of captives _that happened as a result of ICRC’s worthy endeavours (as an independent humanitarian body free of political interests or any affiliation to states) there wasn’t good faith or neutrality to coercing this violence_based group for complying international human rights law norms. naturally ending war and following issues leaded to ending ICRC’s activities.
Dear president,
Today, its for years that MKO members are banned even from supplying most primitive human needs. They’re banned from any form of connection with outside world of their camp (unless for organizational purposes) especially with their own families.
This matter, in particular, after revelation of negative reports regarding to MKO’s internal framework and terrible history of this group, additionally international reports (such as report of human rights watch title to NO EXIT, 2005) leads to extreme worries of families over the physical and mental situation of our dears.
On this basis, and taking into account the unique background and admirable functions of ICRC during conflicts, and prominent aims of ICRC relating to promoting the respect to humanitarian rights, we demand you to take effective measures using whole possible diplomatic potentials for removing worries of families and to create context for making relations between MKO members and their families in specific mechanism allowed by international bodies, with full respect to third states rights and complying any other necessities.
We will appreciate your reply.
Best regards,

Mr. Gjergji Thanasi, Albanian author and human rights activist, responded to the appeal by the Iranian Nejat Society’s CEO:
He wrote:
As an Albanian who has extensive information about the MEK and their paramilitary facility near Manez town (Ashraf 3 Camp), I pity the rank and file MEK members who are little more than serfs to their lady owner, the old stateless harpy Maryam Rajavi!
As an Albanian I consider Rajavi’s activity in Albania to be a threat to the national security of my homeland and a blatant violation of human rights of the poor cult members!
Tell the families to wait and hope. Their loved ones momentarily are simply doomed. It is easier to break out from a low security jail than to leave Camp Ashraf 3. The quisling segments in the Albanian government and opposition behave shamefully like lap dogs to that evil woman Rajavi.
Momentarily there is very little you can do. It is virtually impossible to receive an Albanian visa as a holder of an Iranian passport. Only those Iranians who are holders of EU, British, American, Canadian, Australian and New Zeeland passports can enter Albania. Even they will suffer a low level harassment from our police.
Nothing special that cannot be handled by your Albanian lawyer. They will face a vigorous slander campaign on the part of MEK. The usual stuff: spies of the Mullahs’ regime, terrorists of the Quds force, even in case of senior citizens 70 years old or more.
Nejat Society has received several appeals from families of members of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization taken as hostages in the Camp Ashraf 3 in Abania.
Families of MKO members who are linked with Nejat Society, have never stopped engaging in the fate of their loved ones who are barred in the Cult of Rajavi. The news of the group’s headquarters Ashraf 3 in Abania has not been good in recent months. This has made several families write letters calling for the release of their beloveds.
Three Mothers from Arak, Markazi Province sent a statement calling for Maryam Rajavi to release their loved ones. “When you were in Iraq we suffered a lot to travel to Camp Ashraf in hope of hugging our children but in response you offended us labeling us as mercenaries”, they addressed Maryam Rajavi.
Mahin Habibi mother of Parvaneh Rabiee, Sedighegh Najafi mother of mohammad Jaafar Najafi, Montaha Zahraiee mother of Mostafa Qaedi, continued: “You call us mercenary while you are cooperating with Israel, Saudi Arabia and the United States against Iran. You call us mercenary while you sold intelligence on Iranian soldiers to Saddam Hussein during Iran–Iraq war.”
Zahra Gholizadeh from Gilan Province published an open letter to her imprisoned brother Ali on the occasion of his birthday. The ending of her painful letter reads:
“My lovely brother! It is Aban (October). Happy birthday and best wishes. Hope that the separation and grief will come to an end soon. I love you so much dear Ali.”
Another family member from Sistan Baluchestan Province appeals the international community to pursue the case of his brother. Mohammad Amin Parsa is Aref’s brother. Aref is taken as a hostage by the MEK leaders in Ashraf 3, Albania. Mohammad Amin is concerned over the fate of his brother regarding the recent suspicious deaths in the camp. “We are worried and afraid that something bad has happened to my brother,” he writes.
The family of Ya’ghub Naroiee Moqadam, His mother and his two brothers also call for pursuing the conditions of their beloved because they are concerned over doubtful deaths of MKO members during the past year. “We got informed that a number of the group members were killed suspiciously last year. This has made us worried so we demand you to take action over the case of our brother,” they write in a letter to Nejat Society Central office.
As the voice of suffering families of MEK members, Nejat Society has published all the letters and tries its best to pave the way for the release of members from the bars of Rajavi’s cult of personality.
