Open Letter of 60 MEK ex-members to the Members of the EP

President European Parliament,

Ladies and Gentlemen, Members of the European Parliament,

In this situation of chaos and instability in Iraq, in a situation where ISIS is committing horrifying crimes on daily basis, the lives of 2700 of our friends who have effectively been taken hostage by the leaders of the Mojahedin Khalq (MKO, MEK, PMOI) in transit camp Liberty in Iraq (near Baghdad airport) are in serious danger.

The leaders of the MEK do not cooperate in any shape or form with the UNCHR and/or other UN bodies in charge of the transfer and resettling these Iranians from camp Liberty to other counties.

The announcement of solidarity by a number of MEPs with the residents of camp Liberty and asking for assurance regarding their security and safety will have no effect in helping these individuals. On the contrary it only encourages the leaders of the Mojahedin Khalq more to try to keep them in Iraq and evade any cooperation with the UNHCR.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

No one is safe and no one has security in the current situation of war torn Iraq and as you are aware hundreds of people in Iraq get killed and/or injured on daily basis through bombings and similar atrocities in various parts of the country. Even the employees of the UN who were stationed near camp Liberty to carry out interviews and meetings with the individual members of the MEK have left their place due to the dangerous situation of the area – close to the airport – and the threat of ISIS.

The leaders of the MEK emphasise only the need for protection and security for these Iranians in the camp and never promote or even mention the need to transfer them out of Iraq. Above that, the leadership of the MEK by demanding the transfer of the whole organisation (and not individuals) has put in place demands which in practice make it impossible to transfer people according to the laws and regulations of the UNCHR.

American Republican* Senator John McCain on October 22 this year sent a letter to US Secretary of State John Kerry saying: “Many fear that the people at Camp Liberty could be at grave risk if the security situation in Iraq and especially in Baghdad continues to deteriorate.” He asks Secretary Kerry “Administration must move more quickly to find safe, permanent, and secure locations for Camp Liberty residents outside Iraq.”

Dear MEPs,

We, some of the ex-members of the Mojahedin Khalq Organisation ask you and especially the ones who are members of the “Friends of a Free Iran” committee in the European Parliament to investigate the aims of the leadership of the Mojahedin Khalq in this publicity stunt and investigate the true desire of this organisation for keeping these people in this situation in Iraq and ask them why? We urge you to ask the leaders of the MEK and we urge you to ask your governments in the name of humanity and human rights to cooperate to take these people out of Iraq before it is too late and before a catastrophe has taken place during these dangerous days of war and instability in Iraq. Nearly a third of these people have already been refugees in European and North American countries who have been taken by the leadership of MEK to Iraq over 25 years ago with deception, manipulation and brainwashing.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

Please take Senator McCain’s warning seriously as he warns us that the lives of 2700 refugees in Iraq are in danger. Ask your governments to listen to the repeated advice and requests of the United Nations and UNHCR and UNAMI to accept these people in your countries. This acceptance would certainly force the leaders of Mojahedin Khalq to stop the deception and hindering and continuing to keep these people in Iraq using every possible means and all its resources.

Thanking you in advance for all your efforts in this respect and with the hope that this humanitarian action will save people before it is too late.

Open letter to Emma McCLARKIN MEP

Dear Ms McClarkin,

I would like to congratulate you for your effective part in the European future and global affairs as MEP.

As an ex-high ranking member of the Iranian Mujahidin e Khalg lead by Maryan Rajavi and her Husband Masoud Rajavi with almost 30 years inside the so called organization, and also ex member of the so called National Council of Resistance of the Mujahidin, having seen your support for this organization seriously disturbed me to the extent that forced me to write to you and inform you more about them.

I am sure you remember that the September 11 tragedy masterminded and put to action by people who lived in USA and looked like civilized people. Now days many people from civilized world join the most barbaric terrorist groups in the Middle East region and elsewhere. And the world has paid and is still paying a heavy price as a result.

What I would like to point at is that, it is time for everybody in the west and around the world to face international and regional terrorism with open eyes. Terrorism has changed face and is adopting new tactics to destroy the civilization. They have learnt how to deceive the world and utilize every means to reach their mediaeval barbaric goals.

Especially as a MEP that have great responsibility on your shoulders on behalf of your constituents and contemporary world, with great facilities at reach to investigate about the nature of the people and groups, facing them blind folded or be deceived just by their appearance or pretense of supporting democracy or women’s rights … is no longer acceptable by the public opinion and the future generations.

ISIS (DAESH), (which Mujahidin are their true supporter and call them freedom fighters), in the region used to pretend to fight for democracy in Syria, having got what needed from financial to military support now showing their real face.

Mujahidin believe in Caliphate rule, Masoud Rajavi it the Caliphate. Mujahidin believe in separation of sexes in any common ground of activity. They force their women members to divorce their husbands and marry Masoud Rajavi as the Caliphate who owns them! Mujahidin believe in destroying the Western Civilization as Western Imperialism, oppose and compete with ISIS and Al Qaeda as being more anti-Western and anti-Imperialistic than they are.

Masoud and Maryam Rajavi having watched the September 11 barbarism live on CNN, commented within their 4000 members then “…don’t think Al Qaeda is more progressive than we are, because they can harm Imperialism better than us,”. They believe in violence to reach their political goals, look at their emblem.

All members are denied from any public and free media, books, newspaper, contacting their families, even their children. They must only love Masoud and Maryam Rajavi as their Caliphate and if anything else went through their mind but that, must be daily reported. They are a Cult group and not a political entity.

There is much has been said in the media and internet about the true face of the Mujahidin. But please don’t let your political consciousness be humiliated by them.

Brok: Majority of Eu Parliament do not like MKO

Chairman of the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs Elmar Brok underlined that the new European Parliament is aware of the importance of ties with Iran.

Brok made the remarks in a meeting with Head of the Iranian legislature’s Friendship Group with the European Parliament Kazzem Jalali in Tehran on Sunday.

During the meeting, Jalali pointed to the talks between Iran and the Group 5+1 (the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany), and said, "The nuclear talks were underway in desirable conditions, but unfortunately the (European Parliament’s Human Rights) resolution against Iran changed the overall atmosphere of the negotiations."

Jalali expressed surprise at the presence of a "shameless" group like the terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO, also known as MEK, PMOI and NCRI) in the European Parliament, and said, "Even the critics of Iran’s political system do not recognize the MKO and the European Parliament had better try to listen to the Iranian nation, statesmen and people’s true representatives."

Jalali reiterated that the talks between Iran and European Parliament can be a prelude to a bigger agreement in the future, "but harnessing the radicals, specially at the European Parliament, is the prerequisite for such an agreement".

Brok, for his part, said that the new European Parliament lays emphasis on the importance of the relations with Iran, and said, "The majority of the European Parliament do not like cooperation with groups such as MKO and only a minority group in the Parliament support the MKO."

Brok said that the EP welcomes achievement of a final deal by Iran and the G5+1, and added, "It will be in the interest of both sides in economic and political terms to resolve Iran’s nuclear issue and I believe that Iran is entitled to run civilian nuclear activities and I hope that the international community take this into consideration as well."

The EP adopted a resolution against the human rights conditions in Iran in April. The resolution came under harsh criticism by the Iranian Parliament Speaker, Ali Larijani, who described it as "distressed words".

"As a matter of fact, this resolution is nothing more than a political statement in terms of the method used for compiling the contents to show the European Parliament’s symbolic position which has no executive power… and a type of distressed wording is seen in this composition-like text," Larijani said, addressing the Iranian legislators in an open session of the parliament in April.

He said that the resolution welcomes expansion of ties with Iran, progress in talks between Tehran and the world powers and cooperation with Iran on Syria and fighting terrorism on one hand, and raises allegations against issues, including elections in Iran, human rights situation and women’s rights, which are considered as meddling in the country’s internal affairs, on the other hand.

Larijani questioned the wisdom of the European legislators who, he said, show willingness to increase extended cooperation with Iran in nuclear, regional and technological fields while uttering such "cheap and baseless words".

The resolution adopted by the European Parliament in a meeting in Brussels called for meetings between EU delegations and Iranian dissidents and opposition leaders and criticized the presidential elections in Iran.

The European’s move angered officials in Tehran as it was adopted after the western states voiced their consent and pleasure in the betterment of ties with Iran following a breakthrough deal over Tehran’s nuclear program.

S&D Group condemns ‘Friends of a free Iran event’ in Camp Liberty (Iraq)

MEPs support Martin Kobler’s work in camp Liberty to save victims of Mojahedin Khalq leaders

The S&D Group is strongly opposed to this event in Camp Liberty, Iraq, which has been organised by the Friends of a Free Iran (FoFI) in the European Parliament. S&D Group condemns ‘Friends of a free Iran event’ in Camp Liberty (Iraq)

Maria Muñiz de Urquiza, the S&D shadow rapporteur on Iran, said:

“Both the choice of speakers and unsubstantiated allegations that the UN Iraq Mission violated its mandate and endangered the lives of the residents of the Camp suggest that the organisers of this event do not seek a genuine solution to this humanitarian issue.

“Rather, their efforts are directed at undermining the work of the UN Secretary General’s Special Representative, Martin Kobler, and the progress made in resettling the Camp’s residents.”

The S&D Group fully supports the efforts of Martin Kobler and the UN Assistance Mission to Iraq towards full and permanent resettlement of the residents of Camp Liberty and believes that the decision by the Government of Albania to accept 210 residents is a welcome first step. The urgency of the resettlement was made clear by the attack the Camp on 9 February, which the S&D Group condemns. We also note the responsibility of the Government of Iraq to guarantee the safety and security of the residents of the Camp, in accordance with international law.

The S&D Group strongly believes that legitimate concerns about the safety of the residents of Camp Liberty should under no circumstances lead to the legitimisation of the People’s Mojahedin Organisation (PMOI) as the self- declared “principal Iranian opposition movement”. The PMOI has a long track record of collaboration with Saddam Hussein’s dictatorship in Iraq, both during his war against Iranian people and repressive popular uprisings of Iraqi Kurds and Shiites.

Ana Gomes, the S&D coordinator on foreign affairs and the rapporteur on Iraq in previous EP mandate, commented:

“All Iraqis I have spoken to during my visits to the country link the PMOI to Saddam Hussein’s most murderous campaigns against the Iraqi people. The organisation has no credibility and legitimacy whatsoever within Iran. Support for the PMOI only plays into the hands of Iran’s authoritarian regime and undermines the genuinely democratic forces in the country”.

To the judges of European supreme court of justice

Honorable and distinguished judges of European supreme court of justice

Respectfully,
We are a group of former members of pmoi( People’s Mujahedin Organization of Iran) who had spent a great deal of their lives in Ashraf garrison and the other bases of this organization in Iraq and during those years we had been witnessing horrifying incidents and events which were all related to human rights and sentimental issues. Around 2 weeks ago on 21 of December 2011 ,you rejected the French government appeal of the European union verdict of 4 of December 2008 related to revoking terrorist label against pmoi and you emphasized and reiterated over delisting of this organization from the terrorist list and you called the French appeal request as an invalid request. In issuing of this verdict the role of Mrs. Shariston as the attorney of this file and dossier is very clear.

We know perfectly that most human rights issues as well as juridical and humanitarian issues throughout the world are contaminated to the wrong policies and any humanitarian principles are trampled easily for the sake of political and economical interests and the only thing which has lost its value is humanitarian and human rights values.

We know also that sometimes listing and delisting of the terrorist organizations has been affected by the contaminated and wrong policies and politics and if everything was implemented and carried out justly ,there was no need to put this organization(pmoi) in the European and US terrorist list in long interval from each other, because the performance of this organization during past 30 years is not covert for anyone.

Honorable judges

You are confronted with the organization which during the first years of the beginning of arm struggle had done hundreds assassinations on the streets ,so called revolutionary executions, and they have assassinated and slain more than hundreds of Iranian people by using bombs and automatic submachine guns ,in the pretext of their cooperation and involvement with the different Islamic republic organizations, on the streets and in mosques .

You are confronted with the organization ,which from 1981 till few years after the Kuwait war, has bombed and exploded governmental buildings and oil pipes and other places which as a result of that many innocent people have been killed and slain by them.

You are confronted with the organization which has implemented and carried out more than hundreds mortar attacks and missile operations on the streets of Tehran and other cities of Iran just few years before the fall of Saddam Hussein and they have targeted the buildings which both military personnel and ordinary innocent people ,like women and children, were in it.

You are confronted with the organization which has assassinated few American military advisers during the shah’s time in 70,s and had participated in hostage taking of American Embassy in Teheran ( they had a significant role in that operation which some video clips related to that event is available in YouTube).

You are confronted with the organization which its spiritual leader ,Massoud Rajavi, declared in official gathering that he will assassinate and slay the pmoi separated members and his critics on the streets of Europe if he does not succeed and fail in his cultic plans.

Honorable judges

You are on the position of judgment and many eyes are watching you. if one of those terrorist military operations happened and occurred in European cities , you would have silenced? Have not you condemned it as a terrorist act ?

Had not the leader of this organization , Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, declared self immolation order to her own members in the heart of Europe in 2003 and because of that order more than ten people set themselves on fire for her release? Do you know that simultaneously with Europe also in Ashraf Garrison the pmoi operatives had recruited for self immolation? Do not you think that these brutal and savage actions are not a terrorist danger for the future of Europe?

Honorable judges

Each one of us has lost one or more members of our families during these 30 years and also we have sacrificed and spent many years of our lives in this organization to fight against Islamic republic … we know well that the brutal and bloody policies of Massoud Rajavi during past 30 years has been precisely against the peaceful struggle and demanding democracy of Iranian people . we know very well that if any person who has perpetrated many crimes ,he or she can not be punished or killed on the alley or street by the order and the will of some one else without going to the court of law and without any trial and official judgment and this brutal action be called as a revolutionary execution and they call it as a street trial . you as the professionals in your position in judicial and juridical affaires know very well that these kind of brutal actions are the clear and apparent breach of human rights rules. No one can be punished without the trial and substantiation of the crime but the leaders of pmoi are not committed to such international rules and they have not showed any remorse of their brutal and bloody past in nowhere.

You honorable judges know that we had been members of this cult in the past and forcibly we knew such actions ( specially in the cold war which was the era of arm struggles) as an legitimate and lawful action because we did not have any idea about the breach of human rights , juridical and lawful issues because our thoughts were formed by the things which our leaders were saying to us, but you in the free and democratic world and society knew that such actions do not have any lawful and juridical legitimacy and we expect you to review the past of this organization carefully one more time .

Do you know that colonel Sayad Shirazi was assassinated and killed right in front of the eyes of his child on the street by the direct order of pmoi leader ,Massoud Rajavi? Who had put this colonel on trial and sentenced him to be executed and killed without any court of law and any official verdict even if he had done many crimes ? In which court of law such verdict and maximum penalty, death by firing squad, has been issued? Do you accept that a criminal , any criminal , be executed or assassinated in front of his terrified eyes of his own child? This is just an example of hundreds assassinations that pmoi has done.

Most of the pmoi assassinations had happened on streets and inside the mosques . we do not judge about the crimes which had perpetrated by the people who were assassinated but we are talking about the way of handling those trials and the punishments . Do you know that inside of the mosques women and children were present and some of those innocent people also were wounded or killed by the assassins? what about those innocents, women and children, who were wounded and killed?

Some of us were present in the scuffles which happened after the Kuwait war in Iraq. many times the homes and the properties of the ordinary iraqi people were targeted in the cities such as Touz Khormatou and Soleymanbak and Kefri and women and children and elderly people got injured and they were crying and begging the pmoi operatives not to target their homes . Do not you think that such actions are terrorist act and crime against humanity?

Honorable judges

Do the leaders of this organization has changed their violent strategy and policy? if it is true where have they declared it officially? is their forcible disarmament the criteria of their change? If it is true why during past 2 years hundreds of the pmoi members who were equipped with hand made baton , club , archery and wooden shields were sent by Massoud Rajavi direct order to fight against Iraqi soldiers? why those pmoi members by the direct order of Massoud Rajavi throw rocks and pieces of iron and fireballs toward the elderly parents of those pmoi stranded members?

Do you ,as honorable judges ,have enough recognition of the leaders of this dangerous religious cult? Have you spoken with hundreds of separated members of this cult to find more vital facts about their internal relations?

There is no doubt that the politics may be contaminated to corruption and we hope that the European courts specially the European supreme court of justice will always be free of any politics But there is an ambiguity for us that for what reason the French government appeal has been rejected?

Do not you think that the leaders of this cult are terrorist so how do you call and see those terrorist actions which had been perpetrated by pmoi during past 30 years ? and if you think that the leadership of this cult has changed its strategy and behavior what is your criteria and how do you confirm it? Is Rajavi ready to say in the Press and the Media that he is remorseful of all terrorist actions that he ordered and he says officially that he is responsible and has made a mistake? If they do not want to say it , so with what criteria can you be completely confident and sure that after all these events and residing of Massoud Rajavi and some of pmoi operatives in Europe, again they do not begin their terrorist actions against their dissidents and critics?

Honorable judges

We ,as the former members of this dangerous religious cult , have been witnessing of many terrorist and criminal actions which have been planned by Massoud and Maryam Rajavi and we are ready to be present at any court of law that you mention to testify as witnesses . Most of those crimes has occurred against the dissidents and critic members and those crimes have been covert unfortunately . many members have lost their lives in Ashraf Garrison either under torture or by committing suicide and self immolation and more than hundreds of those members were incarcerated either in Ashraf garrison or Iraqi prisons such as Abughrib prison ,just because they were against the pmoi internal ideological revolution. Many of those pmoi incarcerated members in Iraqi prisons were exchanged as prisoners of war (POW) with Islamic republic. All those suicides which happened inside Ashraf garrison were because of inhumane pressures which the pmoi leadership exerted upon them.

So how is it possible to go through of all those facts without scrutiny and investigation and just by false claims of pmoi leadership and its officials, give the verdict? What about all those victims of pmoi terrorist actions , have they been mentioned in your verdict? Do not you think that before any verdict ,it was better to talk with some of those victims and let them share their views and experiences about pmoi with you? Have you been informed that during current year many pmoi members escaped from Ashraf garrison and took refuge in United Nation and among them there were women of leadership council ? was it not better for you and your verdict to talk with them first who are the most valuable sources and witness of the pmoi internal relations?

We are eager to see justice to what extent in the supreme court of justice and other European courts what comes first? We hope that with this verdict( which is only in favor of pmoi leaders and it does not solve any problems of those stranded members who have been victims of the pmoi leadership’s terrorist and inhumane policies) the future of the European youth will not be affected by the sectarianism and dangerous terrorist actions which may happen by the rise of religious cults and sects on European soil.

We, the former members of this dangerous religious cult, are ready to help you as much as possible to inform you more about these dangerous religious cults because we do not want that European youth like us become victims of such cults which are capable of brainwashing and forcing them to set themselves on fire and commit suicide for the sake of cultic thoughts and ideology. Fortunately the Iranian informed and intelligent girls and boys have shown perfectly during the recent years that they have recognized utterly these kind of cults, consequently for their own safety and security, they keep their distance from them as much as possible for that reason Rajavi has lost his hope on Iranian youth and instead he has counted on European youth.

Open letter of the Iranian Pen Club to the European supreme court of justice

your confirmation regarding not to accept and recognize the pmoi( People’s Mujahedin Organization of Iran) as a terrorist organization after the French government just and truth objection and appeal , there is no doubt that it is a very big juridical mistake and it seems that the European supreme court which the justice has been designated as its name , has trampled the name of justice in this case, and Iranian people will not forgive your mistake which it seems that is a political matter. Our reasons are as follows:

1. This organization( pmoi) from the beginning of its foundation has utilized the behavior of arm struggle as the main tool to gain the political power and since the Shah’s time , this organization has insisted on this behavior .

2. This organization, according to their own confirmation is the first organization which organized the suicide missions in the middle east and carried out those missions in Iran, the missions which became as pattern and sample for the terrorist organizations such as Al Qaida in Afghanistan and the other violent organizations in the middle east.

3. The pmoi by its leadership ,Massoud Rajavi in Iraq and Maryam Rajavi in Paris had begun its mortar attacks inside Iranian cities in 1987 ( 1376) which is the biggest and the most undeniable document and proof of their violent behavior against the ordinary Iranian residents , and they can not hide or deny any of those attacks as a result of tens of vital documents and proofs which are available.

4. The pmoi and its leadership in Iraq and in Paris has not declared yet officially and in any place by showing a reliable and clear document that they have set aside and abandon the arm struggle . the Iranian people’s mind and memory can not be fooled by the deceit and political play of the juridical authorities in Europe and by their deliberately evaluation of the Iranian as ignorant people which specially and practically the European supreme court of justice has done it in this case.

5. The symbol of arm and submachine gun as logo in their emblem since 40 years ago shows their violent thoughts and behavior which has not been changed yet.

Unfortunately you have reconfirmed the delisting of this organization( with the traits mentioned above) from the European union terrorist list and the Iranian people think that in any violent activity which this organization may implement perpetrate in future , the European supreme court of justice should see its share and role in it and they should sense its heavy burden on their conscience and this fact is not far from the Iranian people’s expectations.

As you know well that the Basque combatants in Spain recently according to an official statement declared their renunciation and abdication from terrorism and violence as a tool for gaining identity and political power and they declared it officially and openly and Spanish people and politicians will reevaluate the Basque combatants after their declaration.

During past years the Irish Liberation army also has chosen the political struggle as the main solution for reaching to its political objectives and as a result of that they disbanded their military wing. Today’s world move forward far from using political violence , and using sword and arm for exertion and indoctrination of the thoughts and beliefs on the people in the space era and 21 century is completely out of question .

If you as an important authority and justice seeker on the European soil has closed your eyes on pmoi terrorist activities and their mistakes , according to your heavy humane responsibilities ask this organization that if they truly believe in denunciation and banishment of the arm struggle as the main tool for compelling and the exertion of their political beliefs and also if they have abandoned the arm struggle for ever and like the civilized people throughout the world have accepted the political solutions to express their thoughts and beliefs and they are practically committed to it , they should declare it officially and openly for Iranian people and the people throughout the world and you should ask this organization to declare this transformation by an official statement . otherwise you should accept that you have been deceived by their false policies and their hired lawyers but their movement and activities are under vigilant Iranian people surveillance and they will not be deceived.

The bitter truth is that before of all the Iranian people have been paying the price of the terrorism and the institutionalized violence in mujahedin’s terrorist cult and this fact has begotten an irrecoverable and irreparable losses on Iran democracy path.

Dear Lady Ashton, How can we stop the repetition of the disgrace brought to EU policy by the illegal non binding resolution pushed into European Parliament in support of Terrorism?
On 25 November 2010, the European Parliament voted for a resolution asking you “to urge the USA to follow the example of the EU by removing the PMOI from its blacklist and to urge the UN to provide urgent protection for [Camp] Ashraf“.

As you are aware, the Mojahedin Khalq organisation (aka PMOI, MKO, MEK, NCRI, Rajavi cult) has a long history of lobbying in the European Parliament to influence the perceptions and beliefs of Members of the European Parliament in relation to Iran and Iraq. As you are also no doubt aware such lobbying has depended on lies and deception which unfortunately have not been sufficiently investigated and exposed. One such blatant lie, which appears in the resolution, is that the PMOI are ‘Protected Persons’ under the Fourth Geneva Convention. They are not. I am sure you would agree that only this one lie told on behalf of a parliament would not only render the resolution illegal (although non-binding), but also makes it insulting to those to whom it is directed.

Fortunately the resolution does not try to present the PMOI as a legitimate or popular Iranian opposition group. It is not. Nor does it try to pretend that the residents of Camp Ashraf are refugees in Iraq. They are not.

It instead names them as “Iranian dissidents”. In fact, as you know, they are all involuntary members of a dangerous destructive personality cult. In this respect, if Mr Struan Stevenson, as Chair of the Iraq Delegation, has genuine concern and any evidence of a “merciless siege” of Camp Ashraf by the Iraqis at the camp, should he not, in the first instance, take this matter up with the Government of Iraq, rather than embroil the leading members of the European Union in an issue which has not actually been investigated or even shown to exist at all.

The advocates of the PMOI in the European Parliament deceptively portray the situation of Camp Ashraf as a humanitarian issue. Behind this façade – which ignores the real human rights disaster which does exist inside the camp and which the Iraqi Human Rights Minister is trying to alleviate in spite of the negative interference of UNAMI and the US embassy in Iraq – is the real agenda of the resolution.

As much as this could be interpreted as a push by the anti-Iran lobby in Europe to sabotage your meeting next week with the Iranian negotiators over the remaining issues concerning Iran’s uranium enrichment and the necessary safeguards to ensure civilian use of the outcome, it is now clear that the aim of the lobbying has not been to stymie better relations with Iran, but the deliberate sabotage of the success of the Iraqi people and their leaders who managed to come to agreement over the creation of a government comprising all the democratic parties involved.

It is deeply disappointing that the signatures collected in the parliament and the timing of this disreputable support for the murderers of Iraqis, Iranians, Americans and European citizens has been planned and carried out simply owing to the unchallenged – unquestioned even – misuse of the powers invested in Mr. Sturan Stevenson and Mr. Alejo Vidal-Quadras as elected Members of the European Parliament. Mr Stevenson has regular contacts with the remains of the former Saddam regime in Brussels, London, Jordan and Baghdad. He is a tireless advocate for the PMOI in the European Parliament. As you know, the PMOI in Camp Ashraf is the only part of the former Saddam regime’s infrastructure which remains intact in Iraq and, as such, it still plays an unwarranted role in the current political scene of that country. I am sure that if any MEP was aware of these connections they would never sign such a petition and I am sure you are now sadly aware of the political consequences of this disgraceful resolution for both the EU and the US across the world.
Dear Lady Ashton,

Without going into the details of the connections and the practices of some of the lobbyists in the European Parliament who have turned the EP into a playground for Saddamists and the likes, let me just say that some MEPs are now afraid of even talking aloud in their own offices as they are rightly fearful of the reaction of the “terrorist PMOI Mafia haunting the EP buildings” on a daily basis. I wonder if there are no procedures to look at the evidence available in this regard.

I am sure you are now aware – as the Iranians have announced – after the assassination of the nuclear scientists in Tehran immediately following the written support of the EP for terrorism, that the first card laid on the negotiating table will by connected to this issue. But then, perhaps you have already accepted to surrender this first card as a loss at that table.

Dear Lady Ashton,

I am sure you would agree that investigation into the misuse of parliamentary powers, especially lobbying for foreign terrorist organisations, would be an appropriate step to safeguard the interests of the European Union, its members and its allies, particularly in regard to serious issues like the 5+1 negotiation with Iran over the safeguards needed for enrichment of uranium. To forfeit trust and confidence in exchange for five minutes of fame for the Saddamists and their private army in the western media is a high price to pay.
May I finish this letter by suggesting that this kind of behaviour has not only placed the EU in a checkmate position in the international diplomatic arena over its conflicts with Iran, but it has not helped the EU’s fragile relations with Iraq either.

I am sure your advisors are well aware that Mojahedin Khalq lobbyists in the EP, Mr Struan Stevenson and Mr Alejo Vidal-Quadras, left the Iran Delegation before the start of the new session and joined the Iraq Delegation under the surprised eyes of the Iraqi foreign ministry, and have since been engaged in shuttle diplomacy between the Saddamists bases in London, Brussels and Jordan to undermine and hinder any possibility of political progress in Iraq. Their meddling in the internal affairs of Iraq on behalf of Saddamists has already caused Iraqis from every faction and party to react on variety of occasions, not least the open written complaints from the Ambassador of Iraq to Brussels in his article in Shargh al Awsat against the use of Mojahedin Khalq terrorism and the remains of Saddam in Iraq with the support of known lobbyist MEPs.

Reacting to this resolution one official in the Government of Iraq told me that Mr. Maliki did not respond a similar themed letter sent to him previously by the EP as “we Iraqis do not usually respond to hate mail. We ignore it until it turns to action and then we deal with it”. As to this latest resolution he commented that “the Americans can follow the advice of the EP to take the MKO off their terrorism list if they wish, and we will be more than happy to see them take Mojahedin Khalq with them when they leave”.

Due to lack of oversight and due diligence as to the facts about the Mojahedin Khalq and its misuse of parliament, this resolution has damaged the reputation of the European Unions internationally. Your reaction to it will either compound the effect, or dismiss it as the pernicious nonsense that it is. More importantly, your reaction could discourage such reckless behaviour in future.

Objection Letter of Families of Terror Victims to the European Parliament

The absence of coordination along with selective approaches of some governments and international bodies regarding with global dilemmas including terrorism is undoubtedly one of the main reasons for the expansion of this ominous phenomenon. In fact, how can we expect to have a world without bloodshed and murder of innocent people, when we see that a terrorist group is supported by some governments despite the existence of many documents confirming the terrorist nature of that group?

The adoption of a written declaration by some Members of European Parliament in order to put pressure on the US to remove an Iranian opposition group from its terrorist black-list, made us to write this letter to Your Honorable and express our disappointment and concern of the support voiced by these Representatives from the murderers of our children. Hereby, we also would like to reveal some facts about the terrorist organization of Mojahedin-e Khalq (MKO) which may be ignored by the MEPs due to the lies and deceitful gestures of the MKO ringleaders.

Your Excellency,
Because of the current global fight against terrorism, Mojahedin-e Khalq terrorist Organization is now pretending to be a defender of human rights. It considers itself an organization which seeks for freedom and equality among human beings. This is while the same organization, based on the confession of its own leaders, has murdered 12000 Iranians and thousands of Iraqi civilians. Among the victims of the MKO terrorist attacks there are some children who have lost their parents before their eyes; you can find some people who have been mutilated in the bombing attacks; the terrorists of this organization have chopped up corpses or burned them. The operations conducted in some public places by bomb explosions have led to the death of many people who even hadn’t heard the name of this organization. The MKO forces have murdered Iraqi Kurds and Shiites and Kuwaiti youths when working as the private army of Saddam Hussein, the former Iraqi dictator. The hatred of the people in Iraq and Kuwait from this organization arises from these measures.

Other terrorist acts of the MKO include kidnapping, high-jacking, armed robbery ,attacks on civilians and military forces, planting bombs in public areas, money-laundering and terrorism. The leaders of the Mojahedin-e Khalq have considered such acts necessary for achieving their goals.

The points mentioned above, although strange, are real and many international documents like the Human Rights Watch report of May 2005 and American National Defense Institute (RAND) report of 2009 and the report presented by German Federal Office on Mojahedin-e Khalq have confirmed them. In all these reports Mojahedin has been referred to as a cultic organization which has deprived its members from their primary human right. Furthermore, you can come to Iran and visit thousands of the victims of this organization who are all the real and live documents for confirming the MKO’s terrorist nature. The Honorable Members of the European Parliament should know that an organization which has entered into war against its own country during the Iran-Iraq war, and committed treason against its own fellow countrymen can not feel mercy towards European nation. Can the MEPs guarantee that no one else would be victimized by this terrorist cult in future? Can Your Excellency secure that no one else would mourn for the dearest members of their families?

Europe begins transfer of MKO terrorists

The first group of MKO terrorists has reportedly been transferred to Europe after their training ground in Iraq came under threat.

The group, comprised of 64 senior members of the Mujahedin Khalq Organization, were transferred from Jordan to an unknown European state by two military planes, the Tabnak website reported.

The report quoted Arab correspondents in Jordan as saying that the Iraqi government had not been informed on the”quite confidential”move.

Reports suggest that the MKO terrorists were moved to Romania, but no official has given information about the case.

Iraqi soldiers, under orders from Iraqi National Security Advisor Mowaffak Al-Rubaie, have surrounded MKO’s Camp Ashraf since Thursday, after Baghdad vowed to shut down the training ground and end the group’s presence in the country.

After the finalization of a security agreement between Baghdad and Washington, the Iraqi government took over the country’s national security issues. Under the interim agreement, Iraq now has control over Camp Ashraf in Diyala province.

The Iraqi government has vowed to expel the members of the terrorist group from the country, saying their presence”in Iraq is not an option”.

The anti-Iran MKO, which defines itself as a Marxist-Islamist guerilla army, has carried out acts of terrorism against Iranian nationals and officials.

Outlawed in Iran, the group was relocated in France before its armed wing was expelled at the order of the then-prime minister Jacques Chirac.

The organization eventually moved to Iraq, where it assisted former dictator Saddam Hussein in the massacre of thousands of Iraqi civilians in the 1990s.

Many countries, including the US, have blacklisted the MKO as a ‘terrorist’ organization. The US State Department says that the MKO assassinated at least six US citizens in Iran, prior to the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

In January, the 27-nation European Union ruled to remove the MKO from its blacklist after a seven year presence. The ruling is believed to be politically motivated, the result of legal developments combined with intense lobbying by the cult-like group.

Spy-Agents of An EP Intergroup

As the co-chair of the Friends of a Free Iran Intergroup of the European Parliament, Struan Stevenson along with his colleagues have discovered that the terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO/PMOI/MEK) backs exactly the same objectives of restoration of democracy, rule of law, human rights, women’s rights, and the abolition of the death penalty and nuclear weapons in Iran. How they have come to such a glorious conclusion requires a discussion of its own.

But one thing is for certain and that they endorse the group is fighting a war, or carrying out terrorist attacks depending how they might view it, against Iran’s regime to bring it down. Does it really have anything to do with the goals they seek to accomplish for Iranian people? Furthermore, who has appointed them as the advocates of another nation to befriend the enemies of that nation?

Mr. Stevenson broadly boasts that his meetings with Maryam Rajavi, the self-elected leader of a cult of personality, has been a success but criticizes press articles that accuse him and his colleagues of being "friends of terrorists". What should really people call those who are in accomplice with globally proscribed terrorists? Not only people like Struan Stevenson are interfering in the internal affairs of another country which is in absolute contradiction to principles of democracy, but also exploiting terrorists as tools in a variety of ways for political interests. Here is Mr. Stevenson’s approbation of utilizing MKO as spy agents to collect intelligence against Iran:

I recently received detailed information from the Transatlantic Institute proving that major European companies are working with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) inside Iran. I then asked the PMOI to verify this information from their sources within Iran.

Last week they delivered the answer; a major Italian company is supplying dual-use equipment, while a leading German company is supplying a mass of sophisticated tunnelling machinery. Pictures given to me clearly show the emblems of IRGC, which is on the US list of nuclear proliferators, above the tunnels.
