The Iranian Intelligence Ministry busted a CIA-backed terror group that was planning to bomb scientific, educational, and religious centers, and carry out assassinations, according to a report in the Tehran Times. The arrests come weeks after Ret. Gen. Thomas McInerney urged the U.S. to carry out terror bombings in Iran.
The protesters called for the closure of the embassy and condemned the British court decision which ruled in favor of the Mojahedin Khalq Organization, Press TV correspondent reported on Thursday. Scores of police forces were deployed at the scene to prevent angry demonstrators to attack the embassy.

Iran is fighting the PJAK, a PKK offshoot operating in Iran. Tehran has long accused the United States of supporting anti-Iranian armed groups, including the PJAK and Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO). Both PJAK and MKO have been enlisted by the European Union and even the US as terrorist groups.
An Iranian envoy also addressed the council, accusing the United States of supporting the Iraq-based People’s Mujahideen (MKO) guerrilla group. The MKO is banned as a terrorist group in Iran, the United States and the European Union.
The United States is getting unreliable intelligence from the terrorist Mujahedin Khalq Organization which assisted Saddam Hussein during the imposed Iran-Iraq war, said Mohammad Khazaei in an interview with the Associated Press. Khazaei reiterated that Iran has resolved all six outstanding issues about its nuclear program, insisting that Tehran should not face any new UN sanctions.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad-Ali Hosseini said here Sunday that Tehran and Cairo currently enjoy better understanding regarding the atmosphere of bilateral cooperation. Referring to the recent visit to Tehran of the Egyptian Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein Dirar, he said,”The two countries held good and constructive talks.”
The Iranian envoy raised the issue of the terrorist Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) and asked whether the UN has a position on the legality of the presence of MKO members in Iraq. De Mistura did not comment on the issue, but stated that he has no plans to meet with the organization.
In another part of the interview, Jafari said the recent IAEA report indicated that Iran’s nuclear program is for peaceful purposes and described the US and Israel’s threats regarding the issue as ‘psychological warfare’. In response to a question regarding the US accusations against the IRGC, Jafari said Iran is a victim of terrorism …
In a meeting with the Dutch ambassador to Tehran, Radnik van Vollenhoven, Hashemi Shahroudi noted that the more European countries come to realize the main intention of the US and Israel, the more they will help to establishment of peace and tranquility in the world.
