Activities of Nejat Society Albania on the occasion of March 8

Members of the Nejat Society Albania gathered on the streets of Tirana on the occasion of International Women’s Day to inform Albanian citizens about the violations of women’s rights in the camp of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK).

On Saturday, March 8, 2025, Iranian and Albanian members of Nejat Society Albania tried to enlighten Albanian citizens about the MEK by presenting flowers to female citizens, holding a photo and poster exhibition, and distributing brochures about the violations of women’s rights in the MEK’s camp known as Ashraf 3, located in the remote village of Manz, north of Tirana.

Hamid Atabay, an activist of Nejat Society Albani, while celebrating International Women’s Day, explains that the purpose of holding the photo exhibition is to enlighten the audience on what is happening to women in the MEK camp. Bijar Rahimi speaks about the forced hijab and the deprivation of the right to marry and have children for female members of the MEK. According to these two former members of the MEK, women in this group do not have the slightest freedom.

Also, Ella Deda, Eltisa Billo, and Aldo Solullari explain to their compatriots about the nature of the MEK organization, its history, and its terrorist and cult-like activities.

Defeat of the MEK agents in another court

Mohammad Reza (Ray) Torabi, a former child soldier of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK), informed that the complaint of one of the MEK agents against him was defeated in court.

In 2017, after 18 years of membership in the MEK, Mohammad Reza Torabi left it and a while later, along with a number of other MEK children, shed light on his experience within the cult-like and violent nature of the group. They speak out about the atrocities of the MEK leaders against their own members.

On January 31, 2025, he announced on his account on the X social network that the complaint of one of the MEK supporters against him in a court in Germany was declared closed:
Some time ago, I announced that the MEK filed a legal complaint against me in an attempt to silence me. Today, the prosecutor declared the case closed due to the lack of necessary evidence from the plaintiff. This complaint was filed very cleverly by an MEK sympathizer in Germany. He had stated that I had publicly “slandered” him and declared him as “an MEK sympathizer”, when in fact he was not and the MEK is a “terrorist organization.” Therefore, the German police and prosecutors were obliged to seriously pursue the case. However, with a little searching, it became clear that this foolish supporter had forgotten that he himself had declared on his official account that “I am a Mujahed”. His real name, which was only revealed to me after the police received his official complaint, was also among one of the signatories of some MEK statements and declarations. With my submission of these documents, the entire case was declared closed in less than a month.

Mohammad Reza Torabi, who had previously received death threats from MEK agents, had firmly declared in a video to the leaders of the group that the more they threatened him, the more he would raise his voice and was willing to sacrifice his life for the truth so that the true nature of the MEK would be revealed to the Iranian people. He also announced in the continuation of this complaint that he would continue to fight against Massoud Rajavi’s cult:

But now it is my turn to file a complaint. Because he officially lied to the police in his complaint, and this is considered a serious crime in Germany. The irony of the matter is that he himself had used the hashtag #Please_Court in his tweet!

In his recent post, Torabi also explained the hypocritical tactics that MEK agents use on social media to attract users:
Finally, I will say from experience that someone swearing at the MEK and even calling them “terrorists” is not fundamentally proof that he is not a Mujahed or a supporter of the group. The MEK and their supporters are very hypocritical and far-fetched.

Nejat Society Albania’s Conference in Fier

On Friday, January 17, 2025, a conference was held in Fier, Albania, by the Nejat Society Albania, with the cooperation and facilities of the Municipality of Roskovec, in the town hall.

Roskovec (Albanian definite form: Roskoveci) is a town and a municipality in Fier County, south-central Albania. The municipality was formed at the 2015 local government reform by the merger of the former municipalities Kuman, Kurjan, Roskovec and Strum, that became municipal units.

Albora Cenaj, the head of the city’s municipal museum, was the coordinator of the affairs between the Nejat Society Albania and the municipality. She actively prepared the requirements for the meeting to be held in the municipal hall. She had seen the coverage of the conference and the documentary screening in the city of Shkodër and became interested in the topic. In her previous meetings with Erisa Rahimi, the head of Nejat Society Albania, she had said that she would support the Society because it pursues humanitarian goals.

Blerta Çomëni, former head of the Municipal Museum and current IT officer at the municipality, participated in distributing brochures in the city and providing explanations to the public.

Harrilla Goga, the president of the Albanian Association of Former Partisans, also played a significant role in organizing and promoting the conference.
On Thursday and also on Friday morning, brochures were distributed in public places in the city to promote the conference. The conference started at 15:00 local time (17:30 Iranian time). The conference hall of the municipality was packed and some had to stand.

At first, Erisa Rahimi, the president of Nejat Society Albania, explained about the society, its goals and functions. She introduced the Deputy Mayor, Maksim Goga, and thanked him for accepting the invitation to participate in the conference. She also thanked all the authorities and the audience for participating in the event and expressed her happiness that 60 municipal officials and members of the city council, as well as 20 officials from student organizations, had participated.

Then Aldo Sollulari, the director of the documentary, “Mother, Love, Separation, gave a speech. He first thanked the participants and then gave an explanation about the documentary and how it was produced. He revealed the terrorist nature of the MEK and also the human rights violations in the group’s camp in Manz.

In his speech, Sollulari thanked Ebrahim Khodabandeh, the CEO of Nejat Society in Iran, for providing them with the facilities to be the voice of mothers and families in Albania.

Erisa Rahimi then invited Maxim Goga, the deputy of Mayor, to give a speech. She presented the gifts from Nejat Society Albania and a bouquet of flowers to the municipality and the museum, and in return, the Deputy Mayor presented gifts from the municipality to the Society. The Deputy Mayor also thanked Nejat Society Albania for organizing this conference and asked for further cooperation.

Then the documentary “Love, Mother, Separation” was shown. During the screening of the documentary, absolute silence filled the conference hall and the audience followed it moment by moment.

After the documentary, Mohammad Reza Sediq, a former member of the MEK, was introduced by Rahimi. He spoke about his bitter experiences in the MEK camp in Manz. He said that he had spent 23 years of his life in the MEK without contacting his family, and when he left the group, he found out that his mother had died and that she missed hearing his voice.

Also, Harrilla Goga, the head of the former partisans’ association, who is also a municipal official, gave a speech. After him, Ms. Donika, a university professor, gave a speech.

Finally, Deputy Mayor Maksim Goga gave another speech and expressed his feelings after watching the documentary.
Four television channels were present and covered the conference, including Apollon TV, Star Plus Digitalb, 4Plus TV, Info TV.
Also, a photo and caricature exhibition was held outside the conference hall, where Brikella Sollulari explained her caricatures to the visitors.

A petition addressed to the Albanian Prime Minister, His Excellency Edi Rama, was signed by the participants, in which the Albanian government was asked to investigate the violation of the most basic human rights in the MEK camp in Manz, Durres province.

The MEK is still loathed by the Iranian people

The participation of several Western dignitaries, former politicians and a soon to be envoy to the Trump administration in a conference held by the MEK (Mujahedin-e Khalgh) and NCRI has stirred quite an uproar within the Iranian diaspora. And rightfully so. But should we be worried?

As a former child soldier and 18-year member of the MEK, I spent 7 years working as a translator in their political department in Iraq. As far as I can remember, the MEK has been holding such conferences and rallies for over 15 years now. During the late 2000s and early 2010s such conferences were being held on a monthly basis. MEK was spending hundreds of thousands and in some cases millions of dollars on paid speeches. As part of the translation team, our job was to translate each and every speech and prepare Farsi subtitles for the MEK’s television network, Simaye Azadi. Therefore I know almost each and every speaker and the points they mentioned in their speeches. At least until 2017 when I escaped the MEK.

I have seen names such as John Bolton, Rudy Giuliani, Mike Pence, Joseph Lieberman, Howard Dean, Louis Freeh, James Jones, Tom Ridge, Michael Mukasey, Patrick Kennedy and many more give speeches at MEK conferences and rallies. And yet nothing happened. The MEK is still loathed by the Iranian people for it’s betrayal of the homeland and siding with Saddam Hussein during the Iran-Iraq War and killing thousands of their own fellow countrymen. The US State Department’s last statement on the MEK was that it “does not view the MEK as a viable democratic opposition for Iran” and “does not fund or train the group”.

Therefore there is no reason to be concerned.

But we must stay vigilant as the MEK has, for years, been carrying out a rebranding campaign, especially towards Western politicians. The face of this rebranding campaign is Maryam Rajavi, who portrays herself as a moderate Muslim woman who wears the hijab yet opposes mandatory hijab. She smiles and waves to the cameras and gives charismatic speeches, all in an attempt to cover the true face of the MEK and her husband, Masoud Rajavi. Anyone who spent a day in the MEK ranks knows that Maryam is a puppet of Masoud and he is still leading from the shadows. Maryam Rajavi is equally responsible for the implementation of mandatory divorces and strict rules, such as mandatory hijab, and the brainwash of MEK members as her husband Masoud is. The irony of pretending to be against mandatory hijab yet strictly implementing it within your own cult. This couple have reigned over the MEK cult through an atmosphere of fear and intimidation. Any attempts to criticize the MEK by those who have been lucky to escape or leave are met with a slander campaign. They call me a paid agent of the Islamic Republic without presenting a shred of evidence, all because I openly talk about my childhood and life experiences within the MEK and expose the true nature of this evil cult.

Therefore the MEK and Maryam Rajavi can try to rebrand their cult all they want, but individuals like me who suffered and endured enormous hardships and pain within the ranks and lost everything, including family, will be there at every corner to expose them.

200 former members of MKO agree to testify in court

The judge in the Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) case has announced that about 200 former MKO members have agreed to testify in court.

The 23rd court session of the trial of 104 terrorist MKO members was held in Tehran on Tuesday.

Presided over by Judge Dehghani, the trial took place at the 11th Branch of the Criminal Court of Tehran.

Iran considers itself the biggest victim of terrorist acts and strives to adhere to the law, justice and fairness while complying with all legal and international standards. The injured parties and the families of the martyrs filed a complaint in the Tehran Prosecutor’s Office against the MKO and its 104 defendants, he added.

He noted that charges in this case are examples of human rights violations and terrorist acts, and that the world should be informed of that.

Regardless of the type of accusations, the court was conducted under the presumption of innocence, with respect for the defense rights of the accused and the appointment of defense lawyers. The court announced that the accused can appoint their lawyer.

The MKO has killed 13,000 Iranians and stood by the former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein during his fight against Iran in 1980-88.

Documentary “Mother, Love, Separation” Qualifies for Los Angeles Film Festival LAFA

The documentary “Mother, Love, Separation” directed by Aldo Sulollari, media director of Nejat Society Albania, was accepted into the Los Angeles Film Festival. This festival is one of the most prestigious and well-known film festivals in the United States.

This documentary looks at the lives of suffering mothers of members trapped in the camp of the Mujahedin-e Khalq in Albania who have been far from their loved ones for years due to the refusal of the group’s leaders. Languishing mothers who have longed for contact and a visit with their loved children for years.

In a letter to Ebrahim Khodabandeh, CEO of Nejat Society, Aldo Sulollari expressed his happiness over the acceptance of the documentary Mother, Love, Separation at the LAFA Festival:
“This is a great moment for us, as we are now one of the nominees for an award at this international festival. The selection of our film is a great achievement, as it competes among hundreds of films from all over the world. This project is a special opportunity to convey a strong and important message against the MEK, a cause to which we have been working with deep passion and commitment.”

Aldo Sololari wrote to the Los Angeles Film Festival organizers:
“I am honored and delighted that my film “Mother, Love, Separation” will be participating in your prestigious festival in the United States. This film is an attempt to convey strong and emotional messages about the values of love, family and sacrifice.

Through this work of art, we want to help build a stronger connection between cultures and people from all over the world. Art is the bridge that connects us and I authorize this festival to provide an opportunity for a fair and honest competition, where our messages can be transmitted further and reach a global audience.

Former MEK commander to testify in the MEK’s trial

Issa Azadeh, a former commander of the Mujahedin Organization (MEK), who currently resides in France, attended the 23rd session of the court investigating the charges against the MEK leaders and expressed his observations of the crimes committed by the leaders of the group.

Isa Azadeh was a high-ranking member of the MEK for over 30 years. He left the group in 2003 after the US army disarmed the group in Iraq.

Taking the stand in the court of hearing on November 19th, he introduced himself as saying:
“I am a former official and commander and executive director of the MEK. What I will testify in this court today is about the painful incident of August 28, 1988 and the killing of President Mohammad Ali Rajai and Prime Minister Dr. Bahonar.”

He testified about the agent of the MEK who detonated the bomb in the Prime Minister’s office. He explained about him: “In terms of character, Baqer was a person who appeared to be completely religious, and the form and method of holding his religious rituals were completely different from ours.”

Baqir used to work in the same unit that Azadeh was working. After a while Baqer disappeared. Isa Azadeh had no news of him. The meeting to coerce members to divorce their spouses have already started. In the lower ranks many members had not divorced their spouses yet. Baqer was one of them.

Isa Azadeh said about Baqer: “Out of curiosity, we always wondered where Baqir was? Until someone told me that Baqir had said in the meetings that he would not divorce his wife because he loved his wife. Rajavi had personally talked to him, but he was not convinced to obey.”
“The ideological revolution” or forced divorce meeting were held with the presence of Massoud and Maryam Rajavi. The main topic of such meetings was divorce. “Sometimes there were husbands and wives present,” Azadeh said. “A very offensive language was used between wives and husbands.”

This time the meeting was particularly held to punish Baqer for his disobedience. The eyewitness of the MEK’s trial told the judge what he had seen in the hall:
“Rajavi entered with Maryam Qajar [Rajavi], they sat in the front scene and announced that the hero of the Mujahedin’s Liberation Army, brother of the Mujahedin, Massoud Kashmiri to come over. This was a military order.

As soon as he went to the microphone, the former Baqer and now Massoud Kashmiri, whose real name was revealed there, said: “Forgive me, brother, forgive me! I did not understand, I made a mistake, and other terms that were used in the organization.”

Azadeh recalls that Massoud Rajavi said, “Sisters and brothers! I introduce to you the brother and the hero of the People’s Mujahideen, Massoud Kashmiri, who blew up the Prime Minister’s office.” Maryam Rajavi said, “Did you take the bag?” She said, “Yes, sister.” He said, “Did you put it in the same place where you were told to put?” Baqir said, “Yes, sister.”
Azadeh continued: “That night became known in the organization as Baqer’s Night, because later it was a lever of power in Rajavi’s hands that he could mention when necessary. Now why did Baqir ask Rajavi for forgiveness so much? Because this person had asked to leave the group a few months earlier. Rajavi has never publicly claimed responsibility for the operations of June 27th and August 28th, 1988. Of course, he has made some references from time to time, but he has not publicly stated this explicitly.”

According to Isa Azadeh, “Because in the classification of terrorist acts, the two operations of June 27th and August 28th 1981 are classified as deadly operations that, if exposed and proven, could pose an existential threat to Rajavi’s terrorist organization. The level of such operations in terms of danger and existential threat to the terrorist organization is very high.”
Based on Azadeh’s testimonies, under the order of Massoud Rajavi, a fake passport was prepared for Massoud Kashmiri. He was allegedly sent to England. But from the summer of 1989 to this day, the name of Masoud Kashmiri (Baqer) has not been mentioned in the MEK.

The story of a photo

Holding a copy of her book translated into Norwegian, Atefeh Sebdani published a video about the heart-breaking story behind the photo on the cover of the book:

A poor, lonely refugee mother in a foreign country took one day a photo of her beloved children. Children she had scarified and done everything for to keep them alive. But shortly after she would lose them. Manipulated by a cult to think it was for her best as well as for her children. Every day -that was a day of sorrow—she would hear that they had it better off without her.

When truth was that they were living in a hell. Amongst the few things they had got from their mother after being kidnapped by the cult was this photo of them.

About three decades later the daughter of the mother -the girl in the photo- would be asked to write a book. Thereafter a foreign country would ask if they could use tis photo.

The daughter in the photo called her mother and brothers and said:
-I want to show you something before the rest of the world gets to know.
She showed them the translated book, everybody smiled and the mother said:
I don’t know what got into me that day when I just felt I had to take a photo of you in the midst of all hardships.
The daughter knew and said:

It was because of this. But we didn’t know it then. See how life became. Did you ever think… the picture you took that day just before the catastrophe that it was because it one day would become the cover of a book?

Atefeh’s biography titled “My hand in Mine”, “Min hand i min” in Swedish, was first published in the summer of 2023, in Sweden, where she grew up as a survivor of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK/ Cult of Rajavi). Her life story was widely welcomed by the Swedish community.

Today her true story as a little girl who was traumatized by the MEK cult, has opened her way to the Norwegian community. The Norwegian title of the book is “På egen hand” meaning “On your own”.

This is what the Norwegian author website, Ark.no, states to present Sebdani’s book:
When the young Iranian girl Atefeh comes to Sweden with her two little brothers, she does not encounter safety and freedom, but abuse and betrayal.

This is the story of Iranian Atefeh Sebdani who, aged five and together with his two younger brothers, ended up in Sweden while his parents worked in the People’s Mujahedin in Iraq in opposition to the Iranian regime. The book is about being on your own and experiencing betrayal upon betrayal from adults, parents, foster parents and the Swedish authorities. With her foster parents, who were also part of the People’s Mujahedin, or the sect as Atefeh calls it, she experienced several types of abuse. She survived.

Pax.no is another website to introduce the book. There, the review of “On your own” is as the following:
A little girl clings to her mother, but is torn from her mother’s embrace. Later, the girl sits on a bus driving along dusty roads towards an unknown destination. She holds her little brothers around and comforts them with her mother’s last words: We’ll see each other again soon.

Atefeh is five years old when she and her brothers are smuggled to Europe. The parents are soldiers in an Iranian resistance movement and remain in the organization’s military camp. In one fell swoop, the five-year-old is the mother of her brothers.

On my own is a story about growing up with no one to trust but yourself, about abuse being glossed over, and about a society that time and time again fails to see the vulnerable child. But it is also a story about an indomitable will to live and about the courage to finally break free.

We are ready to testify

A number of former members of the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MEK, MKO), who managed to escape from this terrorist cult, have signed a joint statement entitled “We are ready to testify”.

The text of the statement is as follows:

We, former members of the Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization, are ready to testify against the MEK and its heads, including Massoud and Maryam Rajavi.

We, the signatories of this statement, are ready to testify in any court, anywhere in the world, in person or through video communication, with detailed and full descriptions, that the MEK and its heads were directly responsible for:

1. Playing an active and direct role in the cruel and widespread killing of the people of Iran and Iraq.

2. Having close military and intelligence cooperation against Iranian defenders and border guards with the criminal dictatorship of Iraq, which was punished for its actions, during 8 years of defense of the Iranian people to repel foreign aggression.

3. Making many efforts and planning, after the announcement of the ceasefire between Iran and Iraq to rekindle the fire of war, as the head of this organization has repeatedly admitted, (War mongering under the title of spark and war strategy)

4. Playing an active military role in killing Shiites in the South and Kurds in the North of Iraq, in collaboration with the repression system of the criminal Saddam Hussein.

5. Violating the most basic human rights of the group members and their families and even torturing and injuring the members or killing them in various ways.

6. Forming a troll farm and a cyber army, under foreign interventionist supervision, and endangering the psychological and physical security of Iranian men and women through cyberspace, and spreading and encouraging terrorism and sabotage.

7. Threatening and intimidating former members who no longer wish to be traitors to the country with this destructive cult repeatedly, and even framing them up in foreign countries to silence them.

Therefore, we are ready to testify against the MEK and its heads in all the above cases and provide sufficient evidence in any court.

Nejat Society Albania cheering for Iranian team in U23 world Championship

Iran claimed the title of the 2024 U-23 World Championships in Tirana, Albania. Iran won the team title with 149 points with yet another incredible performance. Iran collected three gold medals and four bronzes in the competition.

Iranian and Albanian members of Nejat Society Albania were in the stadium to cheer for Iranian wrestlers. Holding the flag of Iran and the logo of Nejat Society, they attended the stadium where the matches were held and enthusiastically cheered for the Iranian national team, which had a significant impact on the spirit of the Iranian athletes.

Nejat activists used the opportunity to introduce the society drawing the audience attention to the human rights violations in the Mujahedin-e-Khalq (MEK) camp in Manz. People from the audience approached and were eager to know what these Iranians were doing in Albania, and the necessary explanations were given to them.
What attracted the most attention of the audience was the expression of emotions and enthusiasm of Ermolindo Rahimi, the six-year-old son of Sarfraz and Erisa, who, despite the fact that he has never seen Iran, had the whole stadium shouting “Long live Iran”.

The officials and coaches of the Iranian team present at the stadium, who were unaware of the existence of the Nejat Society Albania, requested the members of the society to participate in the world U23 freestyle wrestling matches. The freestyle wrestling matches will be held on Friday, November 4, until Sunday, November 6, in Tirana, Albania.
The anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran was played a total of 4 times in the capital of Albania. Three times for three gold medals and once for the championship trophy. Mohammad Naghousi in 82kg, Ali Ahmadi Vafa in 55kg and Fardin Hedayati in 130kg claimed three gold medals. Erfan Jarkani in 63kg, Danial Sohrab in 72kg, Ali Oskou in 77kg and Shayan Habibzare in 97kg won four bronze medals.

The U23 World Championships was held in Tirana, Albania from October 21 to 27. This was the second consecutive year that the tournament was held in Tirana. More than 650 wrestlers entered to compete in the event with 240 wrestlers each in Freestyle and Greco-Roman and 184 wrestlers in Women’s Wrestling.
