The Iraqi foreign minister says members of the terrorist Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) must leave Iraq, stressing that Baghdad’s stance on the issue is crystal clear.“Camp Ashraf is to be shut down, and members of the [MKO] group have been given until the end of the current year (2011) to leave Iraqi soil,….He went on to say that Baghdad has proposed that a trilateral committee be established to discuss the situation of the terrorist organization.

Iraq to end the existence of Camp Ashraf

Iraq to form committee to pursue MKO expulsion

the Iraqi parliament plans to establish a committee tasked with pursuing the expulsion of the members of the terrorist Mojahedin Khalq Organization/MKO/MEK/PMOI based in Camp Ashraf…The Security and Defense Committee has reached an agreement with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maleki to form the special committee, Al-Sunaid stated… The Iraqi government has also set a deadline for Camp Ashraf residents to leave the country.On April 13, the Iranian ambassador to Baghdad announced that Camp Ashraf residents can return to Iran under certain conditions.

Iraqi lawmakers slam US intervention

Zebari:Iraq has decided to close Camp Ashraf

Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari says the decision to shut down the Camp Ashraf has been made by his country’s government…Zebari said that Iraq has asked the international institutions and European countries to accept the MKO members after they are deported.Ibrahim Jafari, a former Iraqi prime minister and a sitting lawmaker, also says the demand for expulsion of MKO was made by all Iraqi groups and people…The Iraqi people have no positive image of the MKO members and that is the reason behind their demand, he noted.
