Iranian Mujahadeen said to be in U.S. Custody

The leader of the Iranian mujahadeen, Massoud Rajavi, who was thought to have been in hiding since the American occupation of Iraq, is under house arrest there, according to the Paris-based website, roozonline. Massoud Rajavi and another 27 leaders of the Iranian movement, who were confined in the Ashraf base, after the fall of Saddam Hussein, have reportedly been shifted to US military custody in the Mercury Camp.

MKO’s New Tricks in Iraq Revealed

…the cult of Rajavi is trying to introduce all accidents and events as the “plots” of Badr brigade against Sunnis. They attribute all terrorist acts in Iraq to Shiites, in order to win the attraction of Americans beside softening the anti-MKO atmosphere in Iraq.

In an analysis on the activities of terrorist groups in Iraq , including the MKO, to exaggerate the issue of a detention center in the Interior ministry, an Iraqi political expert said: “This plot was planned to weaken the Iraqi coalition list and Iraq’s enemies try to demonize Shiites and weaken their position, by attributing these illegal affairs to them.”

…The MKO, also known as Munafiqin (hypocrites), has been campaigning hard for the removal of its name from the blacklist in which the terrorist group was put in 2002.The EU began drawing its blacklist following the 9/11 attacks in the US in its campaign to fight global terrorism. Tension in Conference on MKO-Saddam Ties

A number of former members of Mojahedin-e khalq organization,held a press conference on Wednesday (November 10) in London’s Ambassador Hotel. They wanted to give information to journalists about the relations between the MKO and Saddam Hussein and the role of this organization in suppressing Shiites and Kurds in 1991 but the meeting was disrupted with the intervention of a number of people who seemed to be MKO supporters.

Chalabi says Iraq must tackle foreign militants

Iraq must do more to stop the country being used as a base for foreign militants seeking to destabilise its neighbours, Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Chalabi said in comments published on Monday…Chalabi said Britain raised tension in the area by accusing Iran of helping Iraq militants to plant roadside bombs which killed British troops. He added that Iran also inflamed the situation with allegations of British backing for militant Arab separatists in south-west Iran, according to the FT report.

Iraqi Law Includes MKO

“Anti-Terrorism law, due to be executed from next week in Iraq, includes the Mojahedin-e khalq organization,” said Iraqi deputy prime minister.
Radio Free Iraq, quoting Ahmed Chalabi, said: “From now on, we don’t allow this group to make problems for our neighbor Iran from Iraqi soil. We are going to stop this group.”
