Belgian Foreign Minister Condemns Meeting Between Maryam Rajavi and Belgian Senators

Belgian news agency, BELGA, quoted de Gucht saying that such a meeting weakens Belgium’s position in the fight against terrorism. De Gucht regretted that some personalities judged opportune to meet Mrs. Rajavi who appeared to represent a peaceful movement but her movement, said de Gucht, is a cover up for the MKO, a group which has been since 2002 on the US terrorist list

Iran-Iraq Form Joint Security Task Force

The statement also says that”the two sides say that the formation of joint task force helps security and intelligence cooperation between the two countries and strengthens the ties”.Iraqi government announced last month that al-Rubaii met the Iranian intelligence minister and discussed issues such as intelligence cooperation, fighting terrorism and illegal border crossing.

Margaret Beckett, in her first exclusive meeting with the foreign press in the UK, responded to a question on the MKO and, about why the group was still active in Iraq said:”Britain considers MKO a terrorist organization and opposes this group. However, banning the activities of this group in Iraq is up to the Iraqi government and the US as the commander of coalition forces in Iraq.”

The MEK is proscribed in the United Kingdom under the Terrorism Act 2000.

Iraq Reaffirms Decision to Expel Terrorists

“Regarding the fact that many countries recognize PKK as a terrorist organization and that Iraqi constitution doesn’t allow terrorist groups to stay in Iraq, the government has decided to put an end to the presence of this movement in Iraq, to shut down all its offices and prevent it from further activities. MKO in Iraqi Court

General prosecutor in Iraq’s Supreme Court announced that the court is investigating the issue of plundering Iraq’s resources. This case includes oil revenues, granted by the former regime to the groups and individuals.
In an interview with Aswat Al-Iraq, Jaafar Mosavi said:”In this case, the issue of oil revenues is on the agenda.”
