There have been various documented reports on the MKO including reports by RAND Corporation, 2009 and HRW’s “No Exit”, 2005 but recent analysis on the group and its supporters in the West sheds light on the potential threat of harboring a terrorist designated cult.
HRW says the testimony of former MEK prisoners paints a grim picture of how the organization treated its members, particularly those who held dissenting opinions .. Other witnesses told Human Rights Watch claimed it was the practice of MEK interrogators to tie thick ropes around prisoners’ necks and drag them along the ground. One witness told investigators:”Sometimes prisoners returned to the cell with extremely swollen necks–their head and neck as big as a pillow.”
This is disgraceful. It is also exactly what I have assumed is behind the push to remove the ME K aka MKO/PMOI from the Foreign Terrorist Organization list: to embrace the MEK as part of a policy of regime change. It’s also incredibly foolish. Iranians loathe the MEK. Aligning the U.S. with the MEK for the express purpose of overthrowing the Iranian government would not only further alienate the Iranian people from the U.S.
I am urging you to allow some of the separated members of this cult to come to USA and participate in these sessions and meetings specially in Washington to debate with the supporters of PMOI aka MKO/MEK and their lobbies face to face and testify about the real essence and entity of this cult in front of the US officials so truth and untruth can be revealed and clarified . I believe this is the best facility for you and the state department..
