Iran called for the European Union (EU) to reform its approach towards terrorist Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO).”We expect all international organizations and countries, which claim they back human rights, to condemn terrorist acts without resorting to any dual-track political behavior,”said Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast on Tuesday in his weekly briefing session with reporters.
“The Iraqi people and parliament seek expulsion of MKO from their country’s soil and they want to end its presence in Iraq, which has lasted for several years,”Hossein Ali told FNA yesterday.Reminding the crimes committed by the MKO members against the Iraqi people, specially Iraq’s Kurd population, in collaboration with the former Baath regime in previous years, Ali reiterated that the Iraqi government is determined to expel the terrorist group as well.
The top general underlined the West backs any country and group which is of benefit to it, even if they are terrorists or dictators, but counters any nation which is opposed to the West.“In contradictory behavior, they (the West) try to show they are against terrorism by attacking Iraq and Afghanistan, and on the other, fully back the MKO,” he said.
Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said on Saturday the factory mentioned by the MKO was not a “new discovery.”Salehi said the factory located in the city of Karaj, west of Tehran, has been visited by reporters.”We manufacture components there [in the factory], but it is in no way a secret,”he said.
