Iraq says not to allow PJAK, MKO to act

“Iraq is resolute not to allow Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO/MEK/PMOI) members to stay inside its territory. Situation would be very hard for them (the group members) to stay inside Iraqi soil after upcoming withdrawal of foreign forces from Iraq,”he told ISNA.”Iraq will never allow any terrorist cell to act against its neighboring states,”the Iraqi top diplomat added…the ambassador noted,”no terrorist group including PJAK and MKO is permitted to act against neighboring states based on Iraqi Constitution.”..

The governor-general of Iraq’s Northern Diyala province announced on Monday that the country plans to intensify security measures over the main stronghold of the terrorist Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) in Iraq.”The security operations which were due to be carried out are in the preliminary stages and the security groups formed by the Army and Police are now readying for new operations under the supervision of the Iraqi prime minister,”Ra’d Javad al-Tamimi said.

… Under Secretary Hussein Zuhairi, who headed the Iraqi delegation, responded to the statement of a foreign organization [MEK lobbyists] in the Council Human Rights in which she referred to allegations launched by MKO, which live in Camp Ashraf (Camp New Iraq) in order to discredit the Iraqi government in international forums… Zuhairi stressed that the government had decided to end the Organization’s presence in the territory of the country. Iraq calls for departure of US delegation

Once again the Iraqi officials called for the departure of a US delegation in the country saying the delegation is on a mission which is in stark contradiction with Iraq sovereignty…The Iraqi politicians said the issue of Camp Ashraf is an internal issue and the US delegation is not allowed to make any investigation into it.The politicians also said that there are many other urgent issues which need to be investigated like the human rights violations by the US forces in Iraq.

MEK’s lobbyists do not express the views of the U.S. administration

…Iraq then told the U.S. Embassy Rohrabacher and his five colleagues were no longer welcome in the country. Maliki also refused to let the congressmen visit Camp Ashraf. Iraq wants to expel the 3,000 MEK/MKO/PMOI members.Embassy spokesman David Ranz said Saturday:”Congressional visitors do not necessarily express the views of the U.S. administration or even a majority of Congress. The visitors this weekend made that clear in their remarks.”
